melting mushroom

any ideas on why mushrooms would start melting away it's going through the whole bunch there in a 20 gallon aquarium 60 lbs lr 40 lb ls 50/50 pc water tests out right ph was alittle low after adding kent liquid reactor went down around 8.0 thats about all the info i have it's not my tank thanks for any help

If you publish your full water parameters that would help. My gut feeling is that your Ca is very very high and your ALK is very very low.
