This is may sound wierd but there is Bloomington MN at teh Mall of America. Easy access for those that Fly with lots of Hotels cheap and exxpensive. Lots of things for the Kids to do aka Camp Snoopy the Amusement park inside the Mall. Lots of shopping. Then you throw in the Rainforest Cafe with their Fish tanks and the the Underwater Adventure with their Walkthru Tanks heck sounds like a winner to me. IIRc there are Pet Friendly Hotels in the area also.

IMHO orlando would be the best. I live an hour from there and it is a great family vacation spot along with some nice Fish stores

I didn't even realize when MACNA was, not going to be good for most people... Orlando is my vote.

How about Captiva Island in florida. My wife's aunt and uncle have a huge house on that island that we might be able to stay in. Its about a 4 hour drive away from orlando.

Hmmmm How about Moody Gardens Aquarium Pyramid, in Galveston, TX? There is also the A&M University Marine Biology Center. AND.........its right on the saltwater!

Not to mention it is only 45 minuted from my house. LOL
