Hi all!
I apologize for my lengthy absence, the last months have been very overwhelming.
This is one of my favorite Christmas movies, and the link has my favorite song from the Muppet Christmas Carol.

The last few months have been filled with many, many, appointments with my doctors.
~Short Version~
At 10 years of age I was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Doctors told my Mom and Dad there is a 10-15% chance that your daughter may survive.
Many years later, my Mother discovered and university hospital dedicated to the study of "Long Term Cancer Survivors" right here in the Twin Cites!!!!! Most of my life I've been bumped back and forth between doctors that didn't want or know how to help me. Certain parts of my brain were damaged from the new radiation procedure they used to kill the cancer. Causing all sorts of problems...metabolism, thyroid, energy, the list goes on.....
After locating this Long Term Cancer Survivor Clinic. I have finally found a group of wonderful doctors that understand my medical problems and were able, through many tests, to diagnose and prescribe medication that will help me to regain "normal" levels of metabolism, energy...etc.... basically they have conquered all the problems the others doctors misdiagnosed or pushed aside!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then, just before the finish line.....I was diagnosed with Basal Cell Carcinoma, a type of skin cancer. The skin cancer was on my left temple, the same side of my head/brain where my tumor was. To say I was panicking would be an understatement. Praise God that it turned out that Basal Cell Carcinoma is a non-life threatening type of skin cancer that is easily treated. So, now I have two holes in my head!!!! One from the left over pocket from my first tumor, and now another....which will be healed by new years day!!!!
~And that really was the extremely short version!!!!

As for my tanks...I have been letting my pod population grow since September!!! I have a 38 sump tank(Which I have been unable to successfully setup a @#%* "Over Flow" pump in
), and a 15 gallon tank waiting for ponies!!!! Which I was planning to order sometime this week, but decided to delay ordering them due to the lovely Christmas weather here in Minnesota! Two beautiful snow storms, -14 degrees, the second storm caused several interstates to close because of white outs(zero visibility due to snow!!!). So I'll have to email Santa to hold off on the ponies until after new years~weather pending

A Merry Christmas to All!!!!

wow. Glad to see you back and hope all heals well. I know how hard cancer can be on families too. My mother has cancer and we are all working hard to stay together and support her.
Good luck and have fun!

Wow...I am so glad you are ok!!!!I was kinda shocked reading this!
Over my years of dealing with Cancer I have learned that doctor's really don't know how to treat it without destroying your entire body.
I was diagnosed with colon cancer, lung cancer and hepatitis D at 18 years old after being poisoned in Sarasota Florida where sewer gases were leaking out from a lift station near our home. The company was not filtering the machine properly and knew it was happening and long story short didn't care if anybody got sick from it.We moved to Maine hoping to recover. My sister has been the most sick of us all from this with many cancers.
I did not do chemo or radiation but biofeedback and QX machine treatments with a Doctor from Canada. Now I am turing 20 in Feb. and I am cancer free.I am still weak as my body is still recovering One thing I have learned throughout my ordeal was cancer does not kill. Most of the time it is the treatment like chemo that destroys all your cells and kills you.
Always think positive as our bodies and cells listen. My prayers are with you Rykna for a full recovery.
It will be so nice when someday we can live without the pains of this system.
(Revelation 21:3,4)
Fish are also a nice medicine

PS. I just found my firefish dried next to my tank. Sorry I had to mention as I am sad about it :(
How in the world do they jump out with a full hood covering the tank!?!?!
