Metal Halide 250W Enough or to much?

I am going to be possibly getting SunPod Metal Halide Fixtures Pro 20" 250W. My tank size is 47 gallon tall which makes it 30" Deep. Would there be any reason to get the 150 watt besides price. I guess what I am asking is for the pros & cons. I have some zoas now but would like to get into any coral I would like. Would this be the best Light for me. I do not want to go any bigger in dimension (20"). Will 250 watt create more algae than 150 Watt? Also there is no actinic light just led's is that ok, its a 14,000.

well that depends on the corals you want...a 150w would be just fine if you kept the LPS and zoas low in the tank and if you ever wanted to get into SPS just put them mid to upper part. If you run a Phoenix 14k that will help to because they have very good par and good color so you dont need actinics

no I am just saying they are not high light corals, so you could save the higher up real estate on the rocks for things like SPS or a clam if you wanted them. and keep the zoo's low in the tank
