Metal Halide Hood

Does anyone know where to pickup a vented hood, I bought a 48" dual 250 watt MH retro, and I have seen the full hood systems they sell and like them, but they don't sell the hood seperately, I like Hamilton tech's as well, but they have not replied, search on subject didn't pull anything usefull. I have a 4" fan for it already.

why don't you just make your own hood? it'll be ALOT cheaper. or , if you don't have the carpentry skills, do you know anyone who does? just a thought. good luck!

I bought it off of ----, won in auction. Pd $280.00 for it. I have built hoods in the past, and just didn't like the finished look i produced. They also had cooling issues.

Who out there has built there own hood, with a retro MH Kit, Any problems develop later?? any I wish I would of done this different thoughts???? What material is best suited, wood ( what type) any heat coatings to apply? Any Fire Retardent coatings to apply??
