I like 14000k, due to it is a trade-off of the various colors of the natural light spectrums. Or so I read at a few of the light companies. I do like how the 20000k spectrum makes the colors seem brighter.

my corals color pop under 20 k.
trade off slow growth.
i don't run actinic anymore because 1300 watts for lighting 8 hours a day is already too much, especially living in southern California

20K is too much blue, it looks like only actinic lights are on all the time (personal opinion) I use 14K because to me more color from the corals seem to show, the 10K is too yellow, but it really makes the coral grow.
Beautiful tank by the way!

i might use 20 all around occasionally,i will do 14/20/14/20 for very growth and color. i take picture tonight

I just got 10k...and hate the yellow....can't afford another $300 in bulbs so next time I think I am going to try 14K....I don't want all the blue of 20K though...Guess I'll let you know in January...lol
