I am wondering what is the best spectrum for halides? 10,000 14,000 20,000? Tank will be 120 gal 24" deep. How much will I need? 1-250, 2-250. Please help!

i would do 2x250 Radiums with 2x110 VHO actinic. radiums are a great super crisp looking bulbs. not too blue not too yellow. just right IMO.

I moving up to a 240 gal Reef mostly softies ZOO,s etc. ans a couple SPS the tanks is 96"x 24x 24 the Q? is whould 3x 250W 20k MH spread out the whole tank? or would you go with four?

I woould go with four but you could make 3 work. you will have some shadow issues and a bit less coverage btu it would work. you can figure at 12 inches off the surface of the water each bulb will cover approx a 2 foot area with useful light. there will be over spill but not at the intensity your looking for
