metal halides????

ok. i have an aquapod 12 with the standard hood/ lighting. you can buy metal halide fixtures for these tanks. i saw in a magazine metal halide bulbs that were like 75-150 watts for like $50. can i get one for the original hood that came with the tank??? (will the bulb fit ??)

No, they come with compact flourescent lighting. The ballasts that power these types of bulbs are much different. The metal halide requires an entirely different fixture, not just the bulb.
