im going to get a 30in 150watt metal halide fixture for my 30gal, and lfs said that it has only one bulb. for about 350-400 bucks, should i get it? would one bulb be strong enough? i think he said something about the brand coral life.
or should i stick with my pc's? which is 2x2 65watt.
which one is stronger?
i do have a few hard corals in there...

it depends if you have corals or not. If you have corals in your tank then yes upgrade to metal halides. I would look around though that doesnt seem like the best price to me. Just beware, you will probably want to have the metal halides off your tank about 10 inchs or so, because with a 30 gallon it will head the water quickly.

Sunpod makes a 150 watt sunpod, it is a metal halide with I believe a 14k Current bulb. You should be able to find one for around $250.
