What couses or what am I doing wrong with my snails. They climb up the glass and fall off. When doing so they fall upside down and they start to stress out. I find myself going in after them and placing them rite side up. Am I missing something they they are needing????

sorry BIGARN, I forgot the acclimation part. I received them from my local supplier. They are about 1.50" very nice snail in their own water and bagged. Turned off the MH's let bags (floating) to warm to tank temp for about 25 minutes. Started drip system into 5 gal buckets. Placed snails into bottom of bucket and left with drip going for about 1.5 hrs. Then placed each one onto crushed coral bottom. Left MH off till next morning. I did have the atinic 05's on.

If the problem persists, I would connect some straws together that way you can just put that in the tank to flip them over. All in all, snails are pretty dumb, and when I first had my tank, I had that problem, they kept falling, they are just stupid, thats what they do.

I really don't have much experience with these snails .... They do require a lot of algae though. I could be wrong, but I think I've heard they're more of a temperate water snail.
Hang in for more responses though.

Healthy snails don't fall off the glass.
They could be starving, they only eat diatoms, or they could have been damaged before you received them. I have also heard that they are a cooler water snail but I've kept them for years at 85F. It may reduce their lifespan from 20 years down to 10 but I haven't seen high temps kill them outright.
