MH and water temp?

i noticed you had a thirty gallon, With that not being a lot of water, I think it would be easy for the water temp to change, even after a couple of hours. But that is just a stab in the dark. LFS told me that even with a 55 gallon, the water temp could change quite quickly. But seriously take it with a grain of salt, that is just my guess.
