I have compact florescents and actinics. Can I use all of those lights along with my MH on the same tank at the same time? Or would it be overkill?

Overkil people put halides or compacts. I like halides your not limited although some say that newer VHO's do just as good as a job but I like my halides. The biggest arguments people have about hem is electric bills and heat but neither are too bad with my 250's but yeah one or the other

I forget i thinks it 2 weeks or a month of being a member Another site I belong to that you may find good even if your not from the NY area is Manhattan Reefs a lot of people on here from the tri state area especially are members also. is a good site should check it out- there are people in the uk australia all over is not a strictly regional site- just based out of NY- on the other site you just have to have 10 posts then can pm people also
