If my MH lighting unit is 2x 250w and comes with 10k bulbs, can they be switched out for 250w 20k bulbs with no problems? i heard the 20k bulb has a bluer band and makes up for no actinics... :notsure:

As long as the bulb its self is a 250 you can use what ever. I have a 14k which is nice. It has a small blue tint but also bright. I heard that 10k will help your corals grow fast and the 20k will be alot slower. So I decided to go with the 14k. Might want to consider the growth that you want before purchaseing the 20's.
