I was thinking of upgrading my bulb to either a 20K or 14K from my current 10K. Whats the difference between 20K or 14K? Is one better than the other and would they better benifit my current livestock or corals?

The lower the kelvin rating, the better growth you will get. The higher the kelvin rating, the better the coloring of your livestock will be.
So by going to a 14 or 20K, you'll see less growth but more color. Apart from that, it's mostly visual.

For the size of your tank i would do 14k
10k is more for growing not much color, qucikest growth
14k will make the colors pop out a little better, but the corals will not grow as fast as with 10k.good for mid.depth corals.
20k colors pop out (BAM!!!)deep water ,groth will be slower .Corals still grow just not as fast
My pic ( 14k colors will pop out better and some good 420 or 460 Actinic)
Well that my thoughts
