MH inside canopy

:help: hey everyone
i just find out all my coral didn't like my new lights
my tree coral facing away from the light and some branch left behind is look like melting
i have a 58 gal. 250w MH and two VHO thinking about 95w each but not sure
everything is inside me canopy above the water about 1 to 2 inch

Needs to be up around 6-7 inchs...do you have fans in your canopy?...i have them in mine...im running 4 power compacts and 2 400w mh's ...also you might need a chiller...a tank your size and mh's without a chiller will heat up pretty quick...i would suggest that...whats your temp when there on?....also remember temp changes will hurt your animals as well...try and keep the tank a constant temp.

a chiller should run you around $300 for a tank your size...i would highly suggest it

Did you acclimate the corals to the lighting? You should set the MH for 1 hour per day then after 3-4 days add one more hour until you get to your desired photoperiod. Or you could put a few layers of screening between the tank and the lights and remove one layer every couple days. I'd also recommend you move all your soft corals lower.

viper..thats actully a really good call...if he just turned his new lights on ..hes going to fry the crap out of everything.
