Hi, I'm lokking at the retrofit kits and I was wondering if I put two 400w bulbs on it do I need two 400w ballest or can one ballest run two 400w bulbs? Thanks

Sorry. 2 bulbs = 2 ballast

They do make dual ballast though that will allow you to run 2 Metal Halide Bulbs using one double wired ballast.

I just got a dual 250 watt ballast ...complete retro with reflectors/wiring/sockets/bulbs for $370...may be worth considering.

and i agree with the others you can have 2 bulbs oon one ballast i do

nm reef I was wondering did you have to wire all that yourself? The one I was looking at you pick what you want and they wire everything but the ballest. The one I was looking at was for two mh 400w bulbs and two vho 110w actinic two magnetic ballest for mh and a ballest for the vho with reflector for 492.85 hellolights, does that sound good?
