What is the common practice when you have a canopy & MH lights as far as a glass top on the aquarium.
Should you have a glass top or should the tank be open?
I'm just not sure.

you usually keep the top open to avoid the glass filtering the light before it gets to your tank. If you are worried about jumpers, you can install eggcrate over the top.
