can you keep any hard and soft corals under these? I am thinking about going with 3 175w 10k MH on my 125g.

Yes you can definitely keep soft corals and some sps corals but for almost the same cost you could get 250w and you could keep just about anything you want!

I also went with MH lighting. I bought a 175 watt (2 ) 10K bulbs by Ohsio.. Try www.cooltouchlighting.com.. You can pick it up for about 300.. It's without the bulbs ,but they also carry them.. It's the cheapest I found..

thanks for the replies guys. Its going to take me about a month to save up for this new hood. The hood i have seen only has one cooling fan. Is that enough or should i find one that has two cooling fans?

also do you notice an increase in your electricial bill using MH and VHO hoods?

I didn't notice a change... although there had to be some kind of increase.
