MH opinions

Would dual 400W MH plus 220W of pc be overkill on an 85 that is 24" deep. Any and every opinion is appreciated.

I think it's overkill. You should be good with dual 250w mh with the PC. What is the dimensions of the tank?

Sorry the reply is so late, i've been building a DIY canopy to house the halides, the tank is 48" wide and 18" tall.

Stick with the 250w.

Ouch thats alot of light, what do you plan on having in this tank?

you can do 175w and be perfectly fine

I plan on keeping some softies and SPS. I just want to make sure I have enough light to keep all the options (possibly clams) open in the future.
