MH parts list?

I am looking to upgrade my lighting but the complete MH lighting is a little expensive and I was wondering what parts I need to gather to do it myself. I could then go ahead and build the enclosure on my own.
If any manufactures are recommended I would appreciate that as well.

If you are interested in magnetic ballast...I am getting rid of my dual 175w...everything is included except the bulbs. It has the ballast and both moguls. wiring is all included.

frogz--what is a pfo ballast? you said it powers 2 250 wattt metal halides? does it come in dual 175 watt?

yes they have a dual 175 watt 130.95
got to marine depot dot com and look at there lighting
this is my second one, i use to have a dual 175 watt pfo ballasts
on my 55 gallon never had any problems and great service

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of pairing this up with the 2 96W PC that I have. Do you think that 2-175W MH plus the PC's are too much light or ( 2-250W MH plus PC's?? ). This is all going over a 38 gallong tank.
Is there such a thing as too much?
