MH question.

I currently have a 400 watt MH bulb over the center brace of my 80 gallon reef tank. You all know how much having the light over the center brace diminished the intensity. I was thinking of trading my 400watt for a pair of 175 watters so I could hang one over each end. Currently in the tank I have a couple big leathers, green star polyps, xenia everywhere and some anthelia. I'm looking for someone out there who has a pair of 175 watt MH over their 80 gallon who can tell me if they like it or not. I can't remember what kind of MH I have, but I'll go home and look and get back to you. Thanks for your thoughts. COOP.

Hi,
I know what You mean by the center shadows. I have the same prob. with mine. I now have 4 110 watt VHO's and the MH is in the garage.
I am sure having a pair would help out a LOT.
I wish you luck. Lighting sure is a hard one to get perfect !!

Thanks for the encouragment. I'm looking to trade my 400W which has two 28W blue pc's attatched to it. Not sure of the bulb/ballast type, but I'll look tonight when I get home. Anybody know anyone who's interested?

If you're in the Christmas spirit you can just put a bow on them and mail them to me. :D :D :D
