MH with VHO or NO actinic?

Would I use VHO actinic bulbs or regular actinic bulbs if I decided to use 2 - 175 w. MH bulbs over a 70 G., 4' tank? Would this make most all corals happy?
Do I use 5500K MH or 10000K MH?
I am getting there!

A set up of 2--175 watt MH (10K) supplemented with VHO actinic would be an awesome set up and would keep almost all corals and clams quite happy.
Get the best money can buy the first time, don't "settle" if you can afford not to. You won't be sorry, and your animals will thrive.

It all deepends on how many watts your ballasts will consume. Add up the watts and see.
Small price to pay for a hobbie IMHO.

The 10k's with 2 VHO actinics may make things a little too blue. A 6.5k with the actinics may be a better choice, especially if you decide to get clams later.

Ice cap driven vho won the stone coral challenge two years in a row Vho beat power compacts and metal halide. Not only that a 660 ballast produces 440 watts of light and only consumes 260 watts of electricity and is virtually no heat from the ballast now what else could you ask for. I am not saying theres no place for metal halides They are a necesity in tanks 36 deeper than 36 inches but why pay the higher electric bill and try to disipate the extra heat in a small tank. :D
