thats weird. did you fill the water to the top? ok do this. take out water. turn on the jet. let the water from the back go empty. when the water goes to the display tank, the water will fall towards the back of the chambers. if you need to add water then do so.

I know. I did fill it to the top. The water level was equal all around. I took out water to the point where bubbles were coming out of the Hydor FLO. That's were I'm at right now

ok. take out the hydro flo thing. turn on the pump. let the water from the back got to the front. wait is the water from the DT to the surface? if so take some out and put in a container. then turn on the the pump and let the water from the back go to the front. once that is done if you see you will need more water in the back then put some. can you take a pic of the whole top?

Hey there, sorry I didnt get your email. The email you write to me at is my work email. Both of my chambers have the same level of water in them too. The hole that the water passes from chamber 1 to chamber 2 is at the bottom and middle of the wall separating the chambers. As far as I know there is nothing we can do about this this unless you mod it.
I believe a mod some people do is cover the bottom and middle hole and cut a hole into the top of the separation wall. This creates a cascasding effect from chamber 1 to 2.
I personally have not done this mod or have read much about it myself. Personally I would leave it be because the hole is at the bottom, it sucks the water down, creating a current that will pass through your filtration media or bags of chemipure or your chaeto or whatever else you have in there. If you made the water flow from the top, that wont do much good with anything placed in the middle of bottom of your 1st chamber.
So, no need to panic.
As long as water is going through the top vent of the surface skimmer, I think you will be ok. Make sure every vent is closed off except for the top one. I'll personally try to find more info about water levels in the back chambers and research their importance.
Glad you got your tank rolling.

OK...Well If I were to fill it to the top like I have to, The water barely and I mean barely goes thru the top surface skimmer. I'm really confused. Can you take a pic of the entire back of your tank so I can compare it or something. I would appreciate it

make sure the flow vents are all closed off except for the top one. That way water is force to go through the skimmer. I have the waterline going over the surface skimmer about 3/4'' or so.

How did you close them up cuz I tried with a piece of plastic bag to see if theres enough suction and it didn't hold up.

mine came with like 3 or 4 little plastic covers that i could slide down the back to cover up the vents. Did yours not come with these plastic pieces? I did a little research, looks like the AP12 does not come with them? Some people buy some acrylic plastic and cut out a piece to fit there.
