I personally don't like rock being within so may inches of the glass... magfloats must be able to pass through with ease IMO.

I personally don't care, it's 8 gallons i can reach my hand in there and wipe it off, I would actually prefer that. I'll probably throw 2 turbos from my other tank in there maybe one they're pretty big. I do agree with the mag float though, in my other tank no rock touches except the back, this way i can easily clean it with the mag but if I'm dealing with this, I'm not even going to worry about it.
