micro bubbles comming from sump

I have a lot of micro bubbles coming from my drain from my overflow into the sump I have a large filter pad but it’s not fine so it can’t catch all the micro bubbles. Is there any sponge I can get so it let the water pass but not the bubbles?

I had this problem and my sump is too small for baffles.
What I did is put pipe fittings on the end of the drain so the drain forms a "U" at the bottom, so the drain outlet is facing up. I brought the drain in along one side of the sump and pointed the "U" at a tilt against the wall of the sump. The water blurbs up, hits the wall, and gently runs into the water. It solved the problem with no baffles and no nitrate factories... err... I mean sponges.

Not sure if you have the room but I did this for my bubble problem. Worked like a champ.
In my case using the U pipe method didn't work because even though the pipe was turned to come back up about 9 inches (with a bubble chimney) it didn't decrease the velocity of the water so the bubbles remained.

What is the water level in the sump? Seems like if the water was up to or covering the sponge in the middle, this problem wouldn't occurring.
