Micro Bubbles??

ok so i have decided to hook my protein skimmer back up to the tank after not running it for about 6 months! my question is i know there is a break in period or what ever but holy batman there are a ton of micro bubbles! will this affect the fish/ corals in the tank and how long will this continue? o and its a HOB protein skimmer! the clowns don't seem to mind there playing in them lol i shut the lights off early as well to help relive any stress! thanks for any help and ask if you have more questions!

micro bubbles can affect your fish, i'm not sure about corals, but i dont think that it will do much harm if they arent coming in contact with the bubbles. my skimmer took a week or so before it started to do it's job. what kind of skimmer is it? it could be an adjustment that needs tweaked.

thanks for the info and the link it was a good read! its been about 5 hours and th micro bubbles have almost gone away just a little remain! so hopefully tomm it will be cleared out!
