hello so this is like my fourth post about my microbubble problem in my tank. i have a coralife 125 on my 72, and i've heard that they are not good. i have a bubble trap on it, and it acts weird after I feed, and then there are tons of bubbles. any suggestions on how to prevent this or should i look into another skimmer? thanks!

Are you saying their are bubbles ONLY after you feed?
If so...that is not abnormal...when I put extra vitamins in my food my skimmers get bubbles....just for a short time though
you can turn the skimmer off while you feed....

they are there all the time but are especially bad after i feed. I feed a mixture of brine and mysis, and algae sheets tied to rock sometimes. i feed my lionfish mostly krill and silversides, but sometimes fresh fish and shrimp

I probably read another one of your threads, I have one of these PS as well. I have mine HOB, do you? I hated it for the longest time then I built a HOB fuge for it to feed into, it has a series of baffles. It works great now, the only time I see bubbles is when the calcium is low.

no mine is in the sump and i think i remeber u posting a picture of your setup i dont really have any room in the back of my DT its almost right up againt the wall ......they just bother me so much cuz they make the tank look like there is floating debris when its really just bubbles, oh and what's a baffle?

There should be a series of baffles in your sump, they force the flow up and down to expell the bubbles.

I don't know about your skimmer but in my ramora there is a screw that adjusts the amount of bubbles that it makes. I can adjust it so it makes "wetter or dryer" foam. I had this problem until I adjusted it to the level I liked.

I was wondering if your sure it's not from your return pump as well as your skimmer. if it's not your return pump you should be able to create a area in your sump that catches the bubbles before they get to your return pump.
