That doesn't look like it felt very good. I don't have any on my feet but I heard they can be a bit painful.

Thanks Lauren, and croghan it wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be. I was scared b/c alot of people told me the foot and ankle area is pretty painful. But then again I've also pushed out four kids.

Thanks......the swelling has gone down but it still feels "rough"
How long does that take to go away?
it will peel like crazy in the next 2-5days (think sunburn times 10), then it'll be itchy for a bit, and then it'll be fine.
be SURE to keep it moisturized all the time - if you're using anti-biotic ointment, only use it for THREE DAYS and NO MORE - otherwise the bacteria in the area will become resistant and u might as well just be using vaseline, b/c that's the medium most anti-biotic ointments use to deliver their medication.
Anything without a fragrance is great, fragrance will burn. I use Vaseline Intensive care, and I put it on 3-4 times a day in the beginning. The LAST THING U WANT is your tat to dry out.
and whatever you do... DO NOT PICK IT WHEN IT PEELS. you'll pull the color right out of your skin.

The tattoo artist told me to use A&D ointment for three days and then switch to lotion for 10 more days, so this is my first day using lotion. It hasn't started to peel yet but it is itching.
I won't pick, my friend's nephew's tattoo scabbed and he pulled the scabs-and the color-right off.

i'm SO glad to hear you got good after-care info.
i get so mad when artists don't bother to tell people things... so irresponsible.
