I woke up yesterday morning to a my salt water tank being over ran with what looks like baby jelly fish. I know they aren't but that is sort of what the resemble. I've had this tank for 6 years and never have had something like this happen. They are tiny and brownish in color. Somtimes cling to the glass and my fish seem to dislike them. WHAT ARE THEY and more imporantly how do I get rid of them? HELP!!! Thanks :help:

Aftter more research you are right - this is not good. How did I get them? But now how do I get rid of them? Is this going to kill my tank?

From what I'm reading on another site, most people suggest manually removing the ones you can see, as scraping them off can result in them spreading. So like if you can syphon the free floating ones up then do that the others, pick off. I hope this helps you. I'm kind of reading up on them as we talk.

I've been doing that for most of the morning - using a net to scoop them out. Should I completely remove all the live rock in my tank? It wouldn't break my heart!

I'm not sure. But keep doing what you're doing and try to keep the numbers back. Hopefully someone else will chime in and have some other suggestions. I have to go. Good luck!

Yesh I only have fish and live rock. I do have a feather duster tube worm. Why all of a sudden did these appear? I have added nothing new to my tank?
