maybe 60 % in the main tank and 40 % in the fuge :notsure:
They will breed and die and balance themselves out over time for wherever they get the best enviroment.
Do certain species of mini-stars prey on the polyps of organ-pipe coral? I have tons of mini-stars living in the skeleton part of my organ-pipe and I just worry a little sometimes.
Just wondering what are mini-stars?What are there purpose? Are they reef safe?I believe i may have seen some at my lfs and thought they were pretty cool.
They're part of the janitor crew that lives in a sand bed. They are really small...maybe 1/8" across max. Google "Detrivore" and you'll find some places that sell them... for ridiculous prices.
If we're talking about the mini brittle stars, they're reefsafe and great scavengers.
Or if we're talking about the little asternia stars, *some* are reported to feed on SPS corals, while other strains are completely reefsafe.
