Minium size QT Tank

Hi-
I currently have only 5 fish (1 lunare wrasse, 1 valetini puffer, 1 porcupine puffer, 1 yellow tang, and 1 two-tone angel). I want to set up a qt in case of a future break out of anything possible. What would be a good minimum size tank to go with? Is there a rule-of-thumb to go by for a qt tank as there is for a display? Thanks!

Well, if that puffer gets to full size you would minimumly need a 30 gal. But I think generally a 20 gal long is a good min. size.

Thanks for the quick reply Beth. I plan to go and buy this stuff this weekend, and was curious what else should I buy with this. I have basic carbon filter that came with a 10 gallon a while ago. Will that suffice? Will I need anything else?

Actually carbon filters are :nope: in QT. Carbon extracts vital medications during treatment, so you won't want to run cabon. If you can take out the carbon that will work in addition to 1 PH. I like fluval underwater filters which is really a small PH with a tad of "filter" to it.
Get some tank decor, fake corals or rocks. Keep it simple. Take a look at the FAQ Thread that has info on QTs.
Have fun setting up! :D
