mint green something in my sand?

I wish I could post a picture of this, but I've tried and can't get one that shows what I'm seeing.
I have a 5" DSB and along the front of the glass in at least three spots I have patches of mint green "something" growing. It's really a very pretty green, but what is it? It's below the sand and does not extend above the sand on the glass.
Any thoughts?

It's algae.

good, bad or indifferent algae? Do I need to find something to eat it? or find a way to stop it from growing. I'm adding a few fighting conch to the tank this week to help keep my sand stirred up.

It's pretty normal to get it. It comes and goes. The critters in the sandbed should help keep it under control. IMO... nothing to worry about.
