mirror background?

has anyone used that squeegee on mirror film as a background for their tank? I was wondering if it would stress your fish out. Like the ones that your not supposed to put two of the same kind in a tank.

i have seen it done but i looked like crap IMO. the fish and such would get used to it i'm sure however it looks rather silly to see the reflection of everything in your house also in the tank. makes it hard to view and enjoy

I agree that it doesn't look good, plus if you have certain fish that are aggressive, they may "fight" their reflection to the point of exhaustion. Some people do this with bettas to watch them flair and quite frankly, that's just horrible. But I mean if you don't have that issue and your tank is nicely stocked...then it may look okay, but nothing beats a plain black or blue background imo.

once i saw a tank with a mirror on the wall behind it. it made the tank look very deep. pretty cool if you ask me. there was no glare that i saw.

I was going to use that mirror spraypaint on my 72G but went with black. Still think it would have been very nice, i just could not fine it locally and did not want to order it online.

I had a mirror cut to size behind my 2-29g tanks side by side with half castle on each side. It looks awesome , but requires you to clean the back wall of the tank quite often so to use it in a reef tank or saltwater tank, unless your able to reach the back to clean it on a daily basis, it's not a good idea to me....
