there are some AMAZING Mexican and Spanish and Portuguese restaurants in New York.... and some of them are even Zagat & Michelin rated.... but Bobby Flay just throws chiles in everything. Well so do I. That doesn't make everything I cook "authentic Mexican" food.

If I want Tex-mex I'll go to Texas....If I want Oriental cuisine I'd go to a traditional restaurant. Same with all the other options in food. I'm not going to a guy that lives in New York for spicy Tex-mex style foods. lol

Oh I know....and then you get the "I'm coming to your town to kick your b u t t!" I find it hilarious. But, then again, I guess he's used to being the competitive person and thinking he can beat anyone at their own game. lol We love to cook but we don't sit here and say that we're experts at it....well, you are a cake expert....lol

no no no. not an expert at ALL. not even CLOSE. I've studied with the experts, I am no expert. I like to make people happy, and thankfully I've had the opportunity to study with enough highly qualified people in order to accomplish that for people - but I am by NO MEANS an expert myself. Nooooooo way. Ron Ben Israel is an expert. Cynthia Peithman is an expert. Bronwyn Webber & Sylvia Weinstock & Duff Goldman are experts - they are certified pastry chefs with years and years and years of experience.
