over the last month or so I've lost 4 fish ...
I've lost 2 green chromis, 1 yellow chromis, and now 1 tomato clown

I just had my water tested and its still good, 0-0-0 across the board...
I've got a green/black flower anemone, and thats the only thing I can think of thats eating these fish, there is literally no traces of any of them...
I've got a fluval 404 with no intake strainer on it (its ordered) but my tomato clown would have been to big to be sucked up that thing (at least I think)
what to be on the look out for?
hungry anemone (feed once a week)
mantis? but i've got no noises??
I'm a lil depressed over my tomato clown, I loved those 2, now theres only 1

please help
EDIT:
Tank size is 72 gal bowfront
emperor 400 filter
also a fluval 404 filter
2 aquaclear 70 powerheads
1 seaclone 100 protein skimmer
1 aquaclear 20 powerhead
300watt heater
coralife pc lights
again on the test all came to ZERO....
:help:

Definitely look under the tank. About 3 weeks ago I found a clown fish that had disappeared about 4 months ago and then about 4 days later I found my firefish and lawnmower blennie under there.

I just checked under and all around the tank, no wheres to be seen,
both my clowns were defiently there at 330 this afternoon...
I dunno where the hell it could have went...
I've got glass tops on the tank so that kinda limits them from jumping....

In my tank my lil percula clown(one of them) disappeared for a week. then suddenly reappeared. same thing with my Purple Pseudochromis. I think they find a nice hiding place within the LR and get to liking it.Hopefully yours will come on out.
Good Luck!

Literally the only thing I can think of besides the fluval intake?
I'm not about to pull the fluval apart, last time I did the water syphon even with the power off made a damn mess, good thing I keep it in a 5 gal pal ....

in the strainer for the fluval is a ball when you turn off the filter the ball prevents the water from flowing I have 4 fluvals and never had that problem.

if you read my post from the start, it says I have no intake strainer but i do have one on the way ....
thats why the water was a flowing....
that would be cool though if my green chromis was in there, i really think the clown is to large to get sucked up in it....

do you have any inverts? any unknown crabs or the like?
also if you have a dog or a cat then check around the areas that they hang out, because i recently had a firefish dissapear, i spent a day looking around the tank, under the tank etc, and couldnt find anything. when i finally gave up, and went into the garage , there on the rug (yes there is a rug in the garage) lay a dried up carcass of a firefish! the dog grabbed him after he jumped ship and then brought him over to his play area, then forgot about him. thought cats and other dogs are more likely to just eat it.

I think you are loosing your fishes due to something in your tank....I don't know but you should check your parameters every day and don't add anything until you are sure why you loosing all your fishes...
Fishes do jump, but I don;t think all of them jump out......
Make a water change and get your reading again....The best way is to wait before adding anything else in there...

its not my water, i just tested it...
everything is at zero
ammonia is 0
nitrites 0
nitrates 0
ph is 8.0
I think its the anemone as well... its a black and green flower anemone... and all the fish are on the other side of the tank, clear away from him ....
I feed it pieces of clam once a week... maybe I should feed it more ?
