Missing fish

I have a cycled 55 gallon tank with a 12lb live rock. There were 3 damsels in there and an emerald crab. One of the fish is really aggressive and had a domino damsel hiding in the rock. Well I hadn't seen him in a few days and was sure I would find him dead under the rock when i got in there to add more LR today. He wasn't there. Could the crab have eaten him already? Or if he is dead up inside the rock somewhere what will happen to my tank as he 'rots' or whatever. Thanks.

I agree - I lost a purple/yellow smaller fish (for the life of me, I can't remember what it was, a psudochromo or something like that) and a juvenile engeneering coby... MIA for a few days, and when I got in there, there was no trace. I previously thought that my (now returned to the store) green bristle starfish finished them off, but learned last night that it was probably one of my two sallylightfoot crabs... now that they are comfortable in the tank, they've gotten a bit aggressive.... just ate my shrimp...
