About a month ago I purchased a Juv. Hippo Tang. He was Doing great until he disappeared yesterday. I could not find him. I have a 55 Gallon tank with approx. 50 lbs of live rock, The tank is home for 2 Tomato clown, 1 yellow coris Wrass, Peppermint shimp, Emerald Crab, Sand Sifting star, Atlantic anemone, Brown Carpet Anemone, Button Polyps, mushrooms, Brown and yellow toadstool and tree leather corals, bubble coral and Pulsing Xenia. Now do I have something in this tank that could possibly "taken out my Tang???.

unless it was real small - I'd say it's stuck behind a rock or behind your tank on the floor. Otherwise I'd say it died and your clean up crew did their job on him.
Do you have any hermits/star fishes that might eat this thing?

Yes, I do have some Red and Blue Legged Hermit crabs and also I noticed today that my brown carpet anemone is kinda spitting what looks like some fish bones. That's a real bummer.
