missing lmb

I have not seen my lawnmower blenny for a few days now. I checked all the around the tank to see if he jumped, fed twice and no sightings, and even moved around some rock to see if I could find a corpse. Should I disturb everything to find the corpse or should I allow my clean-up crew to get it? I plan to keep an eye on trates and such, but how important is it for me to find? It is a 100 gallon system with large clean-up crew. This is my first loss I have had in a year and a half of the hobby:(

If it doesn't turn up in another day or two you clean up crew already ate it. They are pretty small fish and will get eaten pretty fast (if it's dead). You probally wont notice an ammonia spike.

Thanks...I figured one of the stars or maybe even my giant florida condi may have grabbed it. RIP blenny.

It happened to me too, and I barely call what I have a "clean up crew" and I never found any trace of him or spikes. I think my clown gave his anenome--a huge treat. Sorry for your loss though, tank just isn't right without a LMB eyeballing ya, IMO!!

My lmb went carpet-surfing....twice. I found him right after his first escape and threw him back in the tank. A few days later he wasn't so lucky. Did you check behind/under your tank?
