Missing Royal Gramma

Ok,
Another quick question. I put a royal in the tank this morning. Drip acclimated him for about 3 hours. He seemed fine in the bucket. I introduced him in to the tank, he ran and hid behind a power head for about 15 minutes. When I came back a little while later, no where to be found. It is now about 5 hours since I put him in the tank, and I have not seen him once. Dead somewhere or really well hidden?

Probably really well hidden. My gramma was very skittish when I first got him. He still wedges himself into little crevices to sleep. Don't be alarmed if you find him hanging under a rock upside down. They sleep like that.

he will come out when he feels more comfortable. give it some time then put some food in there will probably draw him out to eat.
they can get into some very tight spots and love little caves in the rock

You guys were right. I thought for sure it was a goner, I had not seen it in a day and a half. But tonight around 10pm, I fed them. Out he came out of a rock that I didn't even know had a hole in it. I thought it was just a little dimple in the rock, but apparently it is deep enough for him to go inside and turn around. Glad he is ok. Thanks!

I was thinkin the same thing about my Royal Gramma Its been in the tank for about 6 days and I seen him day one and day two but not any more I think he is in a hole in some of my rock ( I hope) I have been checking my levels in the tank every day to see if I have a dead fish in my tank but they are all 0. So what is the longest anyone has went without seeing there Royal Gramma in the tank and then one day finding swimming around? :notsure:

Do Nasos Sleep The Same Way As The Royal Gamma? My Naso Is Also Growing A Black Spot On The Side Of His Face =same Color As The Black Pigment On Forehead. Should I Be Alamed?
