Mix crushed coral with live sand???

I thinking about starting a new tank, and I was woundering if it would effect the n.cycle and fish. I would like to know what you all think about my idea.

Welcome to the bb, it's the best for saltwater fish. I dont think that mixing then would affect your tank's cycle, but from what I've heard, alot of people have made the switch from cc to ls, and say that some of the cc was left in by accendent and looks pretty bad, so you could just have like half ls, and half dry sand it works well. It doesnt even need to be half and half I have about 150 lbs dry sand and 40 lbs live sand. Glad to see another Houstonian on the board, have fun with your tank.
