Mixing Brands of Salt

Will it hurt anything to mix different brands of salt? ie: i started the cycle of my tank with one brand of salt and ended up buying a different brand so will it hurt to use the other brand once the origal salt is gone??

if your just cycling the tank and do not have alot invested in live stock yet i would not worry to much but if there is alot of livestock in there. salt vary from brand to brand and when changing i think its best to slowley acclimate the tank to the new brand.

It shouldn't be a problem as long as the SG, PH and temp match at water change time. Just be sure to check the parameters first.

What makes a difference is and its the only thing to be concerned with is SG, ph and temps when yu change brands....everything else is trace elements and no acclimating is needed for a salt change. Temp, sg and PH is obtainable to be the same no matter what brand of salt is used.
