I asked the question cuz I have a pair of clowns that I've had for a year and a half. One is clearly submissive and the other is much larger. I just inherited a tank with two more percs that one is much larger than the other. I am thinking of putting all 4 into a 70 gal if they will get along.

So if I put 2 B&W with my 2 Percs, everything should be fine? I have a 110 gal tank

I have heard of a few people having success with more than one pair of clowns in a larger tank.

i paired up my maroon and perc well.. so far as they dont mess with each other as theperc is about 1inch and the marroon is about 4ish inches i put them both in a smaller tank together( i had the maroon before hand and i put him in with the new perc and let them get used to each other for about 2-3 weeks. if your going to do it i suggest turning off the lights taking out the pair already established in the tank and change the rock settings around then put the new pair in first then about 10 minutes after or so put the old pair in.
let us know what you decide

Just to throw my newbie .02 in, I have a 24 gallon aquapod. I thought that since clowns were just sooooo sweet and all that, I could have 5 of them in the tank. I got two black and white 2 false percula and one true percula. I was warned by some on this forum that I would have troubles. I had just bought a used 120 and began cycling it. I had a little mistake with acid buffer that left my 5 clowns hanging vertically and panting for air. One hopped out of the tank completely. I threw them all into the 120 thinking that things really couldn't get any worse for them.
Soon after, I noticed that the black and whites were ganging up on the lone percula, chasing him, harrassing him, nipping at him, etc. Luckily, I had gotten the aquapod under control and put him back in there to be with his BTA. The other two pair are happily swimming around in the 120, having a virtual palace to themselves.
Today I added some hermits, a yellow watchman, and a hawkfish. Tomorrow I will try to get some starfish and snails.
I have to say that I didn't believe MY sweet little fishies would be so nasty to the lone percula. I'll look into getting him a mate ASAP.

So all in all, as long as we get pairs/even number of clwons, it should be fine? Like I want 2 nemo/percs, along with 2 B&W ones.
RIGHT? :help:

Possibly, but most likely not. You should have either 1, 2, or a bunch, because two will gang up on the smallest. You shouldn't mix different species of clowns.

IMO it depends on thespecies, whos the male whos the female, what goes in first, anenomies, rock strcuture, and most of all gallonage
