Mixing Kalk Q

I know kalk has been covered from head to toe but I mixed up kalk last night for the first time and I have a question. Is it normal to have quite a bit of precipitate in the bucket you mix it up in? I thought this was normal...and then I just discard that precipitate before pouring the kalk mix into my kent aqua dose. Should I let it sit for a couple hours to let the precipitate settle?...because I dripped last night but the precipitate clogged the line so the drip was quite slow. Also, I only used 1 tsp per gallon so I know I didn't oversaturate it. I am using Rowa kalk for the info. Thanks.

It will normally coat the bottom of the container, and that is the part that you don't want to drip into the tank. Yeah sometimes my line gets clogged to. I normally clean it once a week. If you can mix it in a container that has a spout or hole that can be opened and closed then you can avoid getting the precipitation into whatever you drain it into.

That is true. Addin vinegar to your Kalk mix can increase the solubility of the kalk. From 2 tsp/gallon up to 4. It can cause nutrient problems though, Kips Kalk 101 could help you with this.
