**UPDATE**
So today i went to my LFS and had my water tested. Everything seemed in order so i purchased 7 pounds of cured LR ($50) from a friend there. All seems well fish love the LR. And hopefully the LR will help too.
Anyone know a good place to get a good deal on a skimmer????
Have you changed out the CC??

use online stores for skimmers, but before you buy, ask on the message boards to get feedback. i do this with any major equipment i get. also, you will need much more live rock. for my 55, i bought 20 lbs live rock and 55 more dead. dead rock is much cheaper. its just dried out rock that has no life in it, but the stuff in the live rock will eventually spread to the dead rock.

You will need a lot more LR in order for it to provide biological filtration for your tank. Our 55 right now has about 70lb of LR (50lb LR originally and then added 20lb base rock which has now turned into LR).

As others have mentioned get rid of the damsels if you havnt already. Especially since youre adding live rock now. It will be a major PITA to get them out after youve set up your aquascape. Believe me you will want them out of your tank in the long run.

I have not changed the CC to LS only because i have heard two sides...
Can i get partial LS and the rest dead sand and have the same result as %100 LS?
If so its much cheaper for me, just not sure if its as easy as some say...Although my LFS has 30lbs of fiji pink for 19.99...
Also must LR sit directly on glass floor and why?

Yes you can get dead sand and seed with some good LS. I would get a couple pounds of LS from your LFS or from SWF.com. The bagged LS only has bacteria in it and not all the other good critters in it that a good aqua-cultered sand has. Your added LR will also help in seeding the sand.
You want to place the LR on the glass so that if you have a sand digging critter in the future it will not cause the rock work to fall.
To do the change over. Just pull out the CC and replace with sand. If you want to preserve some of the bacteria on the CC load up some nylon bags with the CC and place back in your tank for a week or two. You can also use brand new nylon stockings. Once you're done with the bags O cc just throw them out.
To help with the inevitable sand storm when placing the LS. Make a slide tube out of 2" PVC and either use a funnel or a 4"x2" PVC reducer as a funnel. This will shuttle the new sand to the bottom of the tank. Move slowly around when placing the sand and you should not have a cloudy mess on your hands!
As for the Damsels. I would get them out ASAP. B/c with a tank full of LR you will never catch them. Been there done that. I had to gut my 55 to get one of those little buggers out. NO FUN!
