Mixing salt water

if i decide to mix my own salt water do i have to have a power head?

in order for the salt to dissolve properly you should have one. It will also keep the water aerated.

An over flow would make it more easier . personaly i dont have an extra power head right now so i just measure and dump and mix good every time i pass by the bucket so the salt would disolveberw. And repeat the process for 48 hours before doing the water change.
