Mixing Salt

How long do you mix ths salt/water before putting it into the tank? I have two 12 gallon bins right now circulating with a submerssible pump for about an hour - how much longer should I wait?

i would wait 24 hours so it is completely disolved.

its best to age the salt water..ive often read that between 24-48 hours, i mix mine on thurs nights for a sunday pwc, giving me plenty of time to adjust if ness. HTH

I agree let it sit at least 24 hours to dissolve and acclimate. Make sure that all perimeters/temp is the same.

I age mine 3-4 days usually, but i have mixed and added in a few hours before in a pinch wilth no problems, but unless its an emergency I would wait at least 24 hrs.
