mixing sand?

You may need to be more specific on your plans. However, I have seen multiple places where they recommend certain mixtures of sand.
I am sure it depends on what your plans are.

well i got 100-140lbs of LS and maybe another 150-200lbs of dead ls in my fw tank.And if thats not enough i will buy like 40 or 80 more pounds of this aragonite reef sand stuff. will this work?

Just make sure to rinse the sand from the fw tank very well. Then you will be good to go.

Agreed. You should also research what order to put them in the tank.
One site suggests putting LS down first, quickly putting dead sand on top " to exclude oxygen, refreshing the anaerobic bacteria colonies. " and then the argo to help the other sand settle/weigh it down.
I am sure there are many methods though.

wow truperc i never thought bout doing it that way.I was juss gonna mix it all up in a bucket.toss me a bone here on how to look this up
