Mixing water for changes

I have read some posts on methods for mixing salt water for water changes. If I buy a 30 gallon plastic bucket can the heater suction to the side and is it safe heat wise.
What size heater would be recommended for this 30 gallon bucket
I was also looking at the rio 200 mini for 5.49 on this site. Would this be appropriate for mixing?
Thanks

I mix mine in a 20g plastic brute trash can. I would just get a heater rated for a 30g tank and I don't know anything about the powerhead you listed, but anything that will move the water around should do. A heater in the plastic tank will not cause any problems.

I'd really be tempted to look into a slightly more powerful pump/PH. To get a good mix of salt (complete disolution of salt) and really stir up the water (aeration, etc), a stronger pump would help. I use a nearly-300GPH MaxiJet for my water mixes, the largest usually being around 20/24 gallons.
If I'm prepping water for a change on my QT (20g), I'll often use just a 5g bucket and I have a smaller PH (can't recall GPH) I use for that.
PHs are also invaluable for transferring water from one container to another.
