We have been asked by SWF not to clutter up the forums with stickies, thus we have the archives. We can move it there. However, what is the "Edit" stuff in the post?

I was wondering what the "edit" was about as well. Did you copy and paste that from somewhere? If so, credit where you stole it from. Plagiarism is a big deal.
The post would look a lot more professional if you used a spell check also. There are spelling errors all over the place, and that can lead someone to think that the post was rushed or is not factual or correct. There are some parts, that, because words are spelled incorrectly, the sentence does not really make sense. A "by" is mistakenly written "my", and a bunch of other things.
Lastly, there is a bit too much opinion and personal information in the posts. Opinion leads to debates, and when there is debate over the material, it lowers the validity of the material you worked on to provide.
These reasons are why it was not archived in the first place, I believe. You say that it took you a long time to make, but it just seems like you could have put a lot more time into it and made it really good.

I don't see how having a saltwater tank when you're 6yo correlates to experience. Best wishes.

Thank God, most are gone but there was a group of 2-3 young 15-16 yo boys that thought they were the utmost expert/authority and yet everyother thread they started was about a sick fish or fish that they were concerned with that was dying.

Ryan, I didn't search your whole article, but at least some of it is copied directly from another source. This is plagarism and is a serious offense. Please edit your article, provide sources and apologize so that we are not forced to delete it.

I'm a bit concerned with the "sorta" wrote this. It is clearly not all your work, and I am afraid that without proper reference to the author, it would not be appropriate to take credit for it or post it in the archives. It is very good information, but we must be careful about plagiarizing from other sources. :(

No, he (Dan) is missing the point. He may have typed the words; they are definately NOT his.

i question that they are "his" words... he wrote this before his "tank diary"... some of the questions he asks in the diary he should have known by writing this original piece on how to set up a tank... (not to mention the structure, punctuation and vocab)... the "[Edit]'s" i would guess came right from wiki... not to say that Dan didnt write some, but just changing a few words and adding opinions doesnt make it original...

This is something that will not be taken lightly.
I am closing the thread because we all know that is not your work. You will need to credit the true sourses used. Barry
