you can take them out but many times it just becomes food for something else
my arrow crab loves when my shrimps molt he grabs the casing up and runs of chowing it on till its gone "he doesn't share"
when my cucumbers molt eveything in the tank eats em
but you could take them out, desitigrating in your water if nothing is eating them may help dirty up the water a tad but I've never had a problem I do weekly water changes though

alright, i did a 25% water change yesterday. before the change the levels where 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite and 20 nitrate. Now, a day after the change it's now .50 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and 10 nitrate. i am using RO water. Why is my ammonia level up? should i be worried? any suggestions would be helpful as to what caused the levels to rise. what can i do to keep that from happening again.
